Adenoid

Adenoid is the name given to the mass of tissue resembling a bunch of grapes at the back of the nasal cavity. Like the lymph nodes, the adenoids are part of the immune system and are made of the same type of tissue.
In order for the adenoids to cause problems, the Eustachian tubes that ventilate the ear must reach dimensions that will interrupt the air passage through the nose. In such cases, surgical operation is required. It is not necessary to follow any diet for eating and drinking after the surgery. It is recommended to consume soft foods for only 3 days and it is very important to consume plenty of fluids.
